About Us
Rachael Miclette has delivered stunning interiors in Houston and across the nation for almost 20 years.
After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin in Spanish and Business, she returned to school and received a BA in Interior Design from the Art Institute.
Her career started in 2002 as a Design Assistant at Jacomini Interior Design working under Beverly Jacomini. After having spent time with various design firms on the East Coast, she returned to Houston to work for a global architecture and design firm. Rachael’s passion for residential design was so strong that she returned to Jacomini Interior Design where she remained until purchasing the company in 2008.
Rachael has been the feature of numerous magazines and articles including Paper City, Antiques and Interiors, and others. Her featured work reveals a clean, classic, understated, and traditional style with modern touches. Every job is unique and specific to the client’s wants, needs, and lifestyle.
Our Design Philosophy
At Miclette Interiors, we want every home to feel unique to how the client lives – not a reflection of our firm’s image. Every room should be appointed, tasteful and with purpose. Rachael is very much in alignment with the philosophy of design great Mark Hampton, “I have absolutely no interest in a trademark style.” The firm holds fast to the principles of uniqueness, less-is-more, and the placement of thoughtful pieces rather than things to fill a space.
Notes on the Future
Our goal is to maintain a well-balanced workload to allow us to keep a watchful eye on all the details of each project. At the same time, we are expanding nationally to take on unique projects that push our design skills and creative limits. New geographies give us access to and interaction with new architects and builders that will help continue to grow our design skills and knowledge. We look forward to passing that on to our clients.
